General Peters Novices' Limited Handicap Chase (GBB Race)

Likeable sort who enhanced a good strike rate under Rules when landing the Presige Novices' at Haydock in February. Only fourth in a listed contest at Perth 6 months ago but very much the sort to take to this sphere.

Winning pointer who landed first 2 starts over hurdles. Looked rusty when fourth at Cheltenham on seasonal/chasing debut last month and should be well suited by the return to this trip.

Scored at Worcester at the start of August prior to back-to-back Fontwell wins, the latest in a 19.2f handicap (good). Only sixth at Warwick last time and not as appealing as some on chasing debut.

Winner of sole start in bumpers and off the mark at second attempt over hurdles in a 24.4f Doncaster maiden in December 2021. Only seen twice since and latest run in a handicap at Warwick 6 months ago was disappointing. Market support would look significant on chasing bow.

Winning Irish pointer who landed maiden hurdle at Doncaster (19.4f, good) in January and posted two good placed efforts after at Ffos Las and Bangor. Shaped well on chasing debut at Huntingdon 3 weeks ago and is open to improvement.

Fairly useful hurdler who made an unconvincing start to chasing at Chepstow 20 days ago. Might benefit for the experience and return to this trip should help.

Progressive hurdler when last seen and has the scope for chasing. Lengthy absence to overcome, however, so market will be informative.

Winner of sole start between the flags and while he didn't show much starting out under Rules in an Irish bumper last spring, there were certainly positives to glean from four placed efforts over hurdles. Solid platform set ahead of this chasing debut after 7 months off.
