Losing run stretches back to November 2018, but proved that some ability remains intact when making the frame both starts over hurdles for new yard last season. Resumes over fences on a very attractive mark and dangerous to discount, for all that he's entitled to come on for the run.

Winning pointer who offered something to work on sent chasing when third in handicap at Sedgefield (17f, heavy) 7 months ago. May do better with that experience under his belt so is one to look out for on return.

Confirmed the promise of his sole run in the summer tried in cheekpieces when opening his account in 9-runner handicap chase at Kelso (17.1f, heavy) just under 3 weeks ago, albeit shaping only third best on the day. Likely to find things tougher here.

Remains a maiden, but going the right way over fences judged on his near miss in a handicap at Fontwell (17.8f, good) in October when pulling well clear of the rest. However, produced a below-par effort at Hereford 11 days ago so needs to get back on track quickly.

Looked limited over hurdles but much more like it switched to a handicap over fences and when 3 lengths second at Market Rasen in March. Tailed off having made errors on still more testing ground at Taunton later that month so tough to know what to expect on return.

Mixed record over fences for Alex Hales but without headgear/back in a tongue strap, ran better than for a while when well-beaten third at Southwell (20.4f, good to firm) in September. Handicapper given him a real chance.

Very little to shout about so far and offered little returning from 6 months off/a breathing operation when well-beaten fourth at Exeter (17.5f, soft) chasing debut. Remains early days, however.

Long-standing maiden who again showed little on second chase start when seventh of 10 in novices' handicap at Exeter (17.5f) 24 days ago. Others preferred.

Fair middle-distance maiden on Flat and bought from Michael Bell's yard for 50,000 gns in July 2022. Failed to threaten in 5 starts switched to hurdles last season and possibly still needed the run when well held at Exeter last week. Now sent chasing.

Disappointing over hurdles and tailed off on completed start over fences last time.

Last success came in 2019 and has rarely threatened in this sphere. Found to have bled at Sedgefield (19.3f, good to soft) just over 5 weeks ago and can only be watched from out of the weights again.

GONE IN SIXTY was going the right way over fences prior to disappointing at Hereford recently so Alex Hales' 6-y-o gets the tentative nod to open his account at the expense of Guillaume, who offered something to work on sent chasing when third at Sedgefield back in April and should have more to offer in this sphere. Fanfan du Seuil and Fox's Socks round off the shortlist.
