Won twice over hurdles in France and, though more miss than hit overall for present connections, he left his chase debut well behind when landing a 4-runner Plumpton handicap (25.7f, good to soft) 3 weeks ago. 4 lb rise by no means the end of world and definite chance if able to back that effort up.

Verdict

There was enough in THE VOLLAN's effort at Kelso last month to suggest that he could soon capitalise on the handicapper's mercy (now 14 lb below last winning mark), and the 9-y-o is taken to confirm that impression by striking here. Kadex will be a serious threat if able to at least match the form of his recent Plumpton success, while Le Tueur, whose form figures here read 211, and Allo Allo are also live contenders.
