£5,000 3-y-o, Dahjee gelding. Half-brother to fairly useful hurdler/fair chaser Battle of Ideas. Limited short-term promise in a course bumper last month. Up in trip for hurdles debut.

Successful at Hereford on the second of 2 starts in bumpers and showed plenty to work on making his hurdling debut after 3 months off when second at Uttoxeter in May. Not in the same form at Chepstow last month but he may have needed it.

Confirmed debut promise when landing 9-runner bumper at Haydock in December. Placed both starts since and sure to step forward from last month's hurdles bow. Very much the one to beat.

Point winner who has made an excellent start under Rules, runner-up in a Chepstow bumper in March before going one place better at this track a month later. Bred to do well over obstacles so lots to like.

Forecasts

The Jukebox Man (1/1), Pyffo (15/8), Definite Call (11/2), Valens Bruyee (6/1), Out Of Focus (12/1), Golden De Coeur (18/1), Seasmoke (40/1), Another Lord (40/1), Fforest Dancer (100/1)

Verdict

PYFFO will have derived plenty from his opening hurdles effort at Ludlow a month ago and this bumper winner can take a step forward and get off the mark over obstacles. The Jukebox Man has made an excellent start to his career, winning twice from 3 outings and he's the obvious threat.
