Progressive over hurdles in his novice campaign, completing a hat-trick at Wetherby on his final start of the season. Good second back at Wetherby (19.7f) in October last year, but not in the same form on his subsequent 3 starts. Needs to get back on the up sent chasing.

Built on the promise of his hurdling debut when opening account in a Catterick novice (19.3f) in January and good effort when second at Wetherby next time. Well held in the EBF Final at Sandown when last seen (has had another wind op since), but he has plenty of potential as a chaser.

Showed a bit in bumpers and improved for the switch to hurdles this year, getting off the mark at the second attempt at Newcastle in May. Followed up at Cartmel later the same month, before completing the hat-trick on chase debut at Hexham (20.1f) in June. Leading contender.

Struggled in 3 outings this summer following an 11-month absence, pulled up over hurdles at Killarney in July. Now makes his first run for yard after leaving John Queally with cheekpieces applied. Well handicapped on old form back over fences, so he's worth a market check.

Won claiming hurdle at Auteuil in September last year before easily following up in Huntingdon juvenile on stable debut. Creditable fifth in handicap back in France in May and, although he didn't show much in 2 chase starts for his previous yard, he could yet do better over fences.

Placed in an Irish point and left his previous form under Rules behind when landing a Stratford maiden hurdle on second start for current yard in August. Lesser effort in handicap at this course (19.8f) last month, though lost a shoe. Could get back on track switched to chasing.

Runner-up sole start in Irish points and improved on his hurdles form when making a winning start in this sphere at Warwick (16.2f) in March. Fell at the last at Haydock next time (distant third at the time), but no surprise to see him bounce back on his return.

Showed more than in bumpers when fourth in novice at Catterick (19.3f) on his hurdling/seasonal debut. However, his form has gone the wrong way since, finishing well held sent handicapping at Wetherby in March. Off 8 months (has had another wind op) ahead of his chase bow.

Having won back-to-back hurdles in May, SPECIAL RATE completed his hat-trick on chase debut at Hexham the following month and he can score again with improvement to come in this sphere. Upagainstit also made a winning start over fences and he can leave a lesser effort behind on his return, with Fils de Roi another who enters calculations.
