Mount Nelson gelding. Dam unraced half-sister to useful hurdler/fairly useful chaser (stayed 3m) Simarian. Noteworthy newcomer on paper.
|
Timeform
Adlerflug gelding who had had a breathing operation prior to his debut and shaped as if the run was needed when runner-up at Hereford (16.2f, soft) 12 months ago. Bled at Fontwell back in February and has had another wind op prior to this reappearance.

Timeform
10,000 gns 3-y-o, Dark Angel gelding. Dam, useful 1m winner, half-sister to fairly useful chaser (2m winner) Deadly Approach.
|
Timeform
Creachadoir gelding who shaped a bit better than the distance beaten suggested when well held on debut at Worcester (16f, soft) 3 weeks ago, dropping away tamely in the straight. Easy to look elsewhere.
|
Timeform
Blue Bresil filly who showed plenty of ability only to be held back by inexperience when finishing runner-up at Southwell (15.8f, good) 6 months ago, just lacking the gear change of the experienced winner. Every chance she can go one better on return.

Forecasts

By The Grace (9/4), Seaside Legend (3/1), Solid Silver (11/2), Cool Style (8/1), Martalite (10/1), Mr Monopoly (10/1), The Glen Rovers (14/1), Midnight Sting (20/1), Greenways (20/1), Dropitlikeitshot (20/1), Wonder King (66/1)

Verdict

BY THE GRACE found only one with experience on her side too strong at Southwell back in May so provided she's ready to roll after 6 months off, Nicky Henderson's filly gets the nod to go a place better at the expense of Seaside Legend, who has clearly had his problems (bled last time and makes reappearance following a second wind op) but showed a fair level of ability on debut. Newcomers Mr Monopoly and Solid Silver look best of the rest.
