Progressive over fences for Laura Morgan last season, winning 4 times at up to 24.1f, and has an appreciably lower mark to work with back over hurdles for new yard. Tongue tie left off.

Attracted support and took advantage of a reduced mark refitted with cheekpieces in 2¾m Fontwell handicap in April. Good efforts both starts since, seeing out the longer trip well back at aforementioned venue when last seen in May. Left Oliver Sherwood for £22,000 later that month. Interesting.

Improved to win a Warwick handicap in May and shaped better than the distance beaten suggests on completed start since, looking short of peak fitness. Yard amongst the winners and needs a close look.

Maiden who was mugged late by one that came from a mile back at Chepstow (19.4f) in April. Seemed stretched by 23.4f at Fakenham 8 weeks later, so doesn't look to be crying out for this further step up in trip on his return to action.
|
Modest maiden who ran creditably under a positive ride when second in 6-runner handicap at Newton Abbot (26.5f, soft, 5/1) 28 days ago, having run of race. Nudged up 2 lb but should remain competitive.
|
Showed a bit more than previously in first-time cheekpieces when third on his Taunton handicap debut (23.9f) in March. However, ran poorly at Haydock the following month and subsequently sold out of Alan King's yard for only £5,000. Headgear left off.
|
Displayed a good attitude when opening her hurdles account back from a break at Wetherby (24.1f) in April. However, has struggled for form in her 3 subsequent starts, pulling up at Cartmel when last seen in July.

Forecasts
Aldsworth (3/1), Royal Lake (7/2), Catuaba (4/1), Fortunate Fred (9/2), Boleyn Boy (7/1), Big Changes (10/1), Dillarchie (10/1)
CATUABA hails from a stable that is beginning to hit form and, having shaped better than the distance beaten suggests on his recent return at Southwell, he's put forward as the answer, especially as he remains unexposed at staying trips. Royal Lake ended his time with Oliver Sherwood in good nick and is respected setting out for a new stable, with Fortunate Fred likely to be thereabouts again.
