Age: 6| Weight: 11-10| J: Harry Skelton| T: D Skelton| OR: 135| D

5/4

Bumper/dual novice hurdle winner who ended last season with a creditable fifth in Grade 1 at Aintree. After 6 months off (had a wind op), shaped encouragingly when runner-up in Uttoxeter novice on chase debut 3 weeks ago and he's a major player with better to come.

Form: 11205-2

Martator¹⁹³

Age: 6| Weight: 10-13| J: Charlie Deutsch| T: Miss V Williams| OR: 124

20/1

Placed in Grade 1 hurdles at Auteuil in 2021 for Joel Boisnard but subsequently spent more than a year off the track and stuggled for form in Britain last season. However, it still remains early days with his current yard as he makes only his second start over fences.

Form: 43/80P6-

General Officer²³

Age: 6| Weight: 10-10| J: B S Hughes| T: D McCain Jnr| OR: 121| BF| D

9/2

Winning pointer who showed fairly useful form over hurdles last season, landing back-to-back novices at Musselburgh on his first 2 starts. Ran to a similar level sent chasing when second in novice handicap at Hexham 23 days ago and he's entitled to progress from that effort.

Form: 11227-2

Master Chewy¹⁹³

Age: 6| Weight: 10-10| J: Sam Twiston-Davies| T: N & W Twiston-Davies| OR: 121| BF

2/1

Remains a maiden but ran to a fairly useful level over hurdles in 2022/23, placing on 3 occasions including when runner-up in a Cheltenham novice in December. Had been an expensive purchase after his third in an Irish point on debut, so he's one to note on his chase bow.

Form: F22688-

Chapel Green²³

Age: 6| Weight: 10-5| J: S Mulqueen| T: Miss Lucinda V Russell| OR: 113| D

Fair winner over hurdles, getting off the mark at the second attempt in a Kelso novice. Appealed as the type to take to chasing and duly made a winning start over fences in novice handicap at Hexham 23 days ago, getting the better of General Officer. Respected.

Form: 21042-1

Forecasts

Pembroke (5/4), Master Chewy (2/1), General Officer (9/2), Chapel Green (15/2), Thor De Cerisy (15/2), Martator (20/1)

Useful over hurdles, PEMBROKE is built for chasing and made an encouraging start over fences when runner-up at Uttoxeter 3 weeks ago, travelling best through the race. He can take a step forward from that experience to go one better, while General Officer is also open to progress and can reverse the form with Chapel Green from when the pair met last time.
