Jewson Handicap Hurdle (GBB Race)

Won all 3 starts in novice hurdles, including listed Exeter event, in 2021/22 before making a winning start over fences at Kempton. Let down by jumping subsequently over the larger obstacles but rates as an interesting candidate making handicap hurdle debut. NON RUNNER.

Most likeable staying chaser signed off last season by landing an exceptional hat-trick, winning the Eider Chase, Scottish National and bet365 Gold Cup. This looks like a pipe-opener for bigger staying targets further down the line.

Dual bumper winner showed plenty to like over hurdles last season, winning Ascot maiden and Bangor novice before progressing further to land the EBF Final at Sandown. Not disgraced in Grade 1 company when mid-field in the Mersey Novices' Hurdle at this C&D last time and he's a player.

Much improved once sent handicapping last season, landing hat-trick of wins at Wetherby, Chepstow and Kelso. Performed with plenty of credit in defeat when third at Cheltenham when last seen and there's no reason he shouldn't continue to go the right way.

Point winner who looked a good prospect when winning back-to-back novice hurdles at Kelso and Newcastle earlier this year and resumed progress after a wind-op/summer break when scoring at Hexham (20.1f, heavy, 11/2) 23 days ago. Respected.

Fairly useful in bumpers and quickly reached a similar level over hurdles last term, successful twice in novice company at up to 19.5f. Creditable third at Ayr (20.4f) on final start in April and switch to handicaps rates a plus on return to action.

Point winner who cost €95,000 at 3 yrs and showed fairly useful from in defeat in 2 bumper outings. Showed good attitude when making winning hurdles debut back in December 2020 but off the track since and has left Sam Thomas, so market looks the best guide.

Much improved when scoring over hurdles at the third time of asking at Carlisle last November and belatedly matched that form when also winning 9-runner novice hurdle at Ffos Las (15.8f, good to soft, 11/4). Back up in trip now but others make more appeal on his return to a handicap.
