Low-mileage hurdles winner who improved to make winning return/chase debut at this course (15.7f) in November. Never really built on that, however, and looks no more than respectably treated back over the smaller obstacles.

Bit of a mixed record for Nicky Henderson last season, winning twice but also pulled up on 3 occasions. Showed some ability remains on debut for new yard at Uttoxeter last month but percentage call is to look elsewhere.

Completed a hat-trick in novice hurdles at this sort of trip for Fergal O'Brien this time last year but not seen since and market may prove best guide on handicap bow/return for new connections.

Winner at Huntingdon and Kelso last term, taking advantage of a soft lead when scoring in decisive fashion on the second occasion. Failed to give his running switched to a handicap at Musselburgh when last seen in March but returns on a workable mark.

Likeable mare who was in good order last winter, scoring twice at this course and making the frame on a couple of occasions at Chepstow in February. However, form tailed off thereafter and she may well need this outing.

Hurdles winner at Ffos Las in March and runner-up all 3 starts over timber since. Should be spot on after a solid effort on the level last month and is one for the shortlist.

Proved rather disappointing after winning a Taunton novice (16.5f) in November, including when well beaten on handicap debut at Ludlow in March. Figures off a handy mark if revitalised after a summer break, though. Tongue strap on first time.

From a good family and won his only race in France back in May 2022. Little impact on debut for Harry Whittington at Kempton in spring, however, and remains to be seen if new yard can get the best out of him on handicap debut.

French bumper scorer who made a winning British/hurdles debut at Taunton in February of last year and posted a solid fourth at same course when last seen in April. Had a wind operation since and looks a likely contender here.
