Showed fair form when placed all 3 starts in bumpers last season and ought to have a future over jumps.

Well held in his sole bumper and no encouragement so far over hurdles.

Runner-up sole start in Irish points. The winner of that point has won a couple of times over hurdles since. Interesting contender.

Half-brother to bumper winner/useful 2¼m hurdle winner Grand Jury but didn't offer much in a bumper/hurdle for Dan Skelton in the spring.

Fair maiden hurdler in Ireland for Henry de Bromhead. Off since June. Should be very competitive if ready to roll on his return.

Fairly useful maiden on Flat. Too free when sixth of 8 in 2m handicap at Ascot in May on his first outing for Paul Nicholls. Not seen since but he starts out over hurdles in a very winnable race.

Landed a couple of small-field bumpers in early summer. Second on Worcester hurdle debut last month but not in anything like the same form when sixth of 9 at Fontwell 13 days ago. Bounce back needed.

Fair handicapper on Flat but refused to race on his final starts in that sphere and pulled up on last month's hurdle debut for his new stable.

Forecasts

Classic King (6/4), Beny Nahar Road (6/4), Laser Focus (8/1), Corporal Jackjones (8/1), Grass's Jet (9/1), Irlandais (66/1), Ruith Le Tu (150/1), Clinton Lane (200/1)

Verdict

BENY NAHAR ROAD has achieved enough on the Flat to think that a race like this should be within his grasp now hurdling. Fellow hurdle newcomer Classic King showed plenty of ability in bumpers and is second choice ahead of Alexandra Dunn's Irish recruit Laser Focus.
