Well handicapped on old form and stopped the slide to some extent when third of 4 in handicap at Newton Abbot 20 days ago. Claims if he can build on that.

Age: 6| Weight: 10-13| J: David Noonan| T: D Pipe| OR: 90

4/1

Some potential over hurdles but disappointing chasing debut at Perth on final outing for Lucinda Russell. Worth a market check on first start for new stable.

Form: 449-5

Methusalar³⁰

Age: 7| Weight: 10-13| J: S Bowen| T: P & M Bowen| OR: 90

10/3

Hurdles winner for Alan King (at 19.5f) in spring 2022. Proved disappointing both starts upon returning to action earlier this term and shaped as if needing the run on chasing/stable debut at this course last month. Goes up in trip.

Form: 3/31-0P4

Kapitaliste^t,v²⁰

Age: 7| Weight: 10-8| J: Philip Armson⁽³⁾| T: Alexandra Dunn| OR: 85

11/2

Modest handicap hurdler who wasn't disgraced when third at Newton Abbot last time. Unexposed as a chaser and can't be ruled out.

Forecasts

Methusalar (10/3), Thistlebuffs (4/1), Prince De Juilley (9/2), Kapitaliste (11/2), Faitque De L'Isle (13/2), Bolintlea (8/1), Galop Du Bosc (8/1), Milanese Rose (8/1), Meechlands Magic (11/1), Freethinker (11/1), Debden Bank (14/1), Newtonian (28/1)

PRINCE DE JUILLEY only achieved modest form over hurdles but, as an ex-pointer, he's the type to do better in this sphere, so he gets the nod over Bolintlea, who could get back on the up after 8 months off. Kapitaliste is also considered.
