Took advantage of a poor showing by the favourite to gain a belated first success over hurdles at Stratford in August. However, was below form back chasing at Fontwell last time and is vulnerable under a penalty in this sphere.

Off the mark over hurdles at the first attempt in maiden at Sligo (17.5f, good) in June and added to his tally in 2½m Hexham novice last month. Leading claims for an Irish stable which does so well with its runners in Britain.

Point winner who took a bit of time to find her feet over hurdles but comes here on a hat-trick after wins in a C&D maiden and Uttoxeter novice in May. Has the potential for even better if she's primed after her break.

Quite useful in bumpers, including a win at Haydock in December. Should be up to making his presence felt in a race like this now hurdling. First start since May.

A small field but it's still quite an interesting race. John McConnell's LISNAMULT LAD's proven race fitness earns him the vote over returning pair Ooh Betty, who like the selection is a dual hurdle winner, and Pyffo, who displayed plenty of ability in bumpers.
