Fairly useful Flat performer who has taken very well to hurdles this summer, completing a maiden/novice hat-trick at Worcester. Shaped as though still in top form switched to handicap company at Market Rasen and this is a pretty big drop in class.

Steady improver (on back of wind op) over hurdles, confirming previous promise when landing 8-runner novices' handicap at Worcester (2m) last month, asserting final 100 yds. Matched that form when second in a messy 3-runner contest at Fontwell since.

Responded well when opening account at Southwell in June and better than ever reverting to positive tactics when doubling tally at Hexham 19 days. Up 7 lb but did it nicely so he has to command respect.

Going the right way and opened account in convincing style in novice at Stratford (18.7f) in July. Hit the frame both starts since and return to 2m shouldn't be an issue.

Placed twice from 3 starts in bumpers (fair form) and left previous efforts over hurdles behind when fourth at Newton Abbot a month ago. Needs to build on that switched to a handicap.

Yet to win a race and took a backward step when fifth at Perth a fortnight ago.

Fairly useful on Flat and in good nick in this sphere since undergoing a wind op, winning a Bangor handicap last month. Fitted with cheekpieces and spurned a good opening back at that venue recently, carrying head awkwardly and headed late.

Forecasts

Myristica (15/8), Allbetsoff (7/2), Uggy Uggy Uggy (9/2), Forget The Way (9/2), Choirmaster (15/2), Moneynabane (16/1), Borderline (25/1)

Verdict

This looks a strong race for the grade with MYRISTICA the most compelling option on the back of an excellent handicap debut at Market Rasen. The drop back to 2m looks a good move at this stage of Uggy Uggy Uggy's career and he's a threat, along with Allbetsoff.
