Dual-purpose performer (C&D winner) who wasn't disgraced when fourth over hurdles at Uttoxeter (20f) in July, his effort flattening out late on. Midfield back on the Flat at Salisbury (14.2f) 3 weeks ago and back on a potentially lenient mark returned to timber/ re-united with Jamie Moore.

Fairly useful form when winning twice in 2020/21. Pulled up next 4 starts though and not convinced in a couple of starts over fences upon joining present stable this summer. Good deal to prove back over hurdles despite operating from career-low mark.

Steady improver (on back of wind op) over hurdles, confirming previous promise when landing 8-runner novices' handicap at Worcester (2m) 4 weeks ago, asserting final 100 yds. Remains lightly raced in handicaps and possibilities from 6 lb higher.

Forecasts

Forget The Way (8/11), Thibault (13/8), Nibras Gold (7/2), Paros (7/1), First Quest (12/1)

Verdict

FORGET THE WAY has improved of late, confirming previous promise when running out a good winner at Worcester (2m) 31 days ago, and he gets the nod to defy a 6 lb rise. Nibras Gold and Thibault can emerge as the chief threats.
