Dual winner at around 7f for Ed Bethell last year and bright start for new yard when second on return at Wetherby (7f) in May. Went backwards from that (reportedly lost a shoe) when last of 9 in handicap at Ayr (7.2f) last month but more needed here in any case.
Maiden who went close to bucking that trend when second in trio of 6f handicaps. May not have been ideally positioned on the far rail at Beverley latest and better showing anticipated from a handy draw. Visor again the headgear of choice.
Dual winner towards backend of last year (latterly over C&D) and picked up where she left off to complete the hat-trick at Newcastle (6f) in April. Recent efforts have been below par though, including back at this venue 39 days ago. Had wind op since.
Dual winner at Southwell (6f) earlier this year and remained in form since, not seen to best effect when eighth in 14-runner Thirsk handicap (7f) 16 days ago, ridden too aggressively. Not out of things.
5-time C&D winner who made a fine return from 4-months off when fourth in a C&D handicap in June. Raced on unfavoured inside and unable to get competitive back here latest and no surprise to see a better showing for in-form yard.
Losing run mounting up and handicapper slow to relent but dropped a big hint he's ready to strike when fourth in a C&D handicap 18 days ago, best of those held up. One to keep an eye on.
Lightly-raced maiden. Creditable second of 6 in maiden at Listowel (7.1f, good, 9/1) in September, keeping on. Changed hands for 18,000 gns thereafter and market may prove the best guide on belated return.
C&D winner. Thirteen runs since last win in 2022. 8/1 and cheekpieces on for 1st time, creditable third of 10 in handicap at Carlisle (5.8f, good to soft) 8 days ago, holding every chance.
Ended a long losing run at Beverley this time last year and, having eased in the weights, he turned in his best effort of the present campaign when second at Haydock (7f) 2 weeks ago, sticking to task. Has a rare try back sprinting here.
Maiden following 8 attempts who returned to form from out of the blue when fourth of 14 in handicap at Thirsk (7f) 16 days ago, faring best of those ridden prominently. Handy draw to work from and one to be interested in.
Found some improvement in handicaps, shedding maiden tag at Beverley (5f) in June prior to following up gamely at Doncaster (6f) 3 days later. Found run of good form coming to a halt at first-named venue latest and this looks tougher.
Bettered this season's efforts when respectable sixth of 13 in handicap at Redcar (6f) 2 starts back but proved disappointing when 10½ lengths last of 13 to Rwenearlytheredad in handicap (16/1) at Doncaster (6f, good to firm) 21 days ago. Cheekpieces go on now.
Veteran 7-time C&D winner who dispelled a lesser effort when beaten just under a length into third at Catterick (7f) 9 days ago. Capable of playing a part if arriving in same form. Cheekpieces back on.

Run This Way (10/3), Lord Abama (11/2), Bay Of Hope (11/2), Sir Maxi (6/1), Corinthia Knight (6/1), El Montejean (7/1), Patontheback (10/1), Rwenearlytheredad (14/1), Round The Island (16/1), Rhythm (16/1), Fiddlers Green (16/1), Emily Post (20/1), Blackjack (20/1), Shine's Ambition (66/1)
Claims can be made for most, including 3-y-o EL MONTEJEAN who returned to form from out of the blue and fared best of those ridden prominently when fourth at Thirsk 16 days ago and he could just be worth siding with to back that up from a handy draw with his yard amongst the winners. Lord Abama, veteran Round The Island and Corinthia Knight head up the dangers.
