Hasn't made much of an impact in handicaps for this yard and while his mark continues to ease, he didn't show any signs of an imminent revival here at the end of last month.

Winner of a Bellewstown claimer on final start for Gordon Elliott last August but she has offered precious little since, including both starts for new connections.

Successful over C&D on sole previous visit here last summer and added to his tally at Doncaster in December. Fine second in a Class 2 Musselburgh handicap last time and leading claims back at this course with James King booked.

Scored twice for this yard during 2021/22 campaign but not at the same level in 2 starts for MickyHammond over C&D last June. Given a chance by the handicapper (now 4 lb below last winning mark) and will be a threat if the return to the Sara Ender yard has a positive effect.

Exuberant sort who was improved when scoring twice over hurdles last May, including over this C&D. Best effort since when hitting the crossbar at Warwick (2m, good) last time and, still on an attractive mark up 2 lb, she has to enter calculations.

Yet to be placed, let alone win, from 14 starts overall, in this sphere and over fences. Needs a second look in the betting given the shrewd Irish yard that he represents but this 6-y-o is hard to warm to based on his racecourse exploits to date.

Fairly useful hurdler/chaser in France but hasn't shown much in a handful of appearances for present yard, again safely held tried in cheekpieces (retained) over this C&D last time.

Runner-up twice from 4 starts in bumpers and, though yet to reach the same level over hurdles, he has shown clear signs of ability in a trio of novice events. Improvement may well be forthcoming now pitched into a handicap and he's one to consider.

3/1
Flat winner who stepped up on his previous efforts in this sphere when accounting for 10 rivals in a C&D selling handicap (good) last time. More on his plate up 5 lb but he could have more to offer as a hurdler on what will be just his fifth start in this sphere.

Went close to snapping his long losing run at Carlisle in February but has failed to fire both subsequent starts in this sphere. Others preferred.

Produced one of his better efforts when fifth of 12 at Downpatrick (17.3f, good) recently but this Irish raider will need to take a sizeable step forward in order to open his account here.

Successful twice for James Ewart in summer of 2021. Best effort since joining this yard when third of 14 at Southwell (2m, good to soft) in April. Not in the same form next time, though, and others make more appeal for win purposes.

Showed a bit more than previously for this yard when fifth of 15 at Roscommon (16.2f, good to soft) last time but even that form leaves him short of what will be required here.

Verdict

RHODIA hasn't pulled up any trees in a handful of novice events in this sphere but is appealing now making the switch to handicap company off what, judged on his bumper form, is a potentially handy opening mark. With James King booked, Zamond is a big danger given the strength of his latest effort at Musselburgh and the fact that he was a C&D winner on his sole previous start here. Fellow C&D winners Prime Time Lady and Calevade are also feared, in that order of preference.
