British Racing School 40th Anniversary Female Jockeys' Handicap Hurdle

Off time: 15:00 | Winning time: 5m 8.89s

Enthused^p¹²

Age: 6| Weight: 12-2| J: Miss Gina Andrews| T: James Owen| OR: 102| D

15/8

Fairly useful Flat winner who was suited by the emphasis on speed over 19.6f when off the mark over hurdles at Huntingdon 12 days ago. That race already starting to work out so 4 lb rise very fair.

Form: 2634-41

Sermando^p,t⁸⁷

Age: 9| Weight: 11-13| J: Fern O'Brien⁽⁷⁾| T: Alexandra Dunn| OR: 99

15/2

Thirteen runs since last win in 2020 but hit the frame 4 times last season. Left Jonjo O'Neill but drop in trip will suit for new connections.

Form: 332047-

Valamix^t²⁴

Age: 6| Weight: 11-8| J: Alice Stevens⁽⁷⁾| T: Jamie Snowden| OR: 94

28/1

Second of 6 in a novice at Uttoxeter last summer but allotted stiff mark on the back of it and no impact in handicaps 9 months apart.

Form: 4/4426-6

Never No Trouble^b³⁹

Age: 4| Weight: 11-5| J: Abbie McCain⁽⁵⁾| T: D McCain Jnr| OR: 97

5/1

Gained reward for her consistency when winning 8-runner maiden at Hereford (2m, good) in February. Let down by jumping next time but quickly back to form when third at Ludlow (21.2f) 39 days ago, headed near finish. Should give it another good go.

Form: 223173-

The Bandit^h²⁹

Age: 8| Weight: 10-8| J: Ms Laura Ward⁽⁷⁾| T: N B King| OR: 80| D

6/1

Off the mark over hurdles in Southwell handicap in April but unable to back that up twice since, carrying head awkwardly at Perth and never able to land a blow at Uttoxeter latest.

Form: 95P13-0

Pollypockett²³

Age: 6| Weight: 10-6| J: Tabitha Worsley⁽³⁾| T: A M Hales| OR: 78

4/1

Fair bumper winner and took a step back in the right direction on second handicap start when third at Market Rasen 3 weeks ago. Dangerous at this level if she can build on that.

Form: 137/43-3

Rebel Royal^b¹⁵

Age: 10| Weight: 10-2| J: Lily Pinchin⁽³⁾| T: B I Case| OR: 74| D

7/1

Just the one win over hurdles and that came more than 5 years ago. Mark continues to tumble but pulled on last month's return.

Form: 43526-P

Forecasts

Enthused (15/8), Pollypockett (4/1), Never No Trouble (5/1), The Bandit (6/1), Rebel Royal (7/1), Sermando (15/2), Valamix (28/1)

ENTHUSED is well weighted in this sphere based on his Flat form and with his recent Huntingdon win already working out his follow-up claims are pretty obvious. Never No Trouble seems sure to give it another good go and is feared most.
