C&D winner but showed nothing on stable debut returning from long absence at Fakenham last time. Others make more appeal.

Lightly-raced maiden who posted an excellent second of 10 in novice hurdle at Wincanton 53 days ago. Firmly in the picture now handicapping back over further.

Plenty of size about him and finished runner-up 4 times during the autumn. Last couple of efforts were underwhelming but he's had a break since.

From a stable enjoying a cracking season and didn't need to improve to land a 7-runner event at Hereford last time. Should give another good account.

Useful on the Flat (stays 16.5f) and shaped better than the distance beaten suggests tried hurdling when a remote third at Haydock (24.3f) in November. Has offered little since, including on handicap debut at Chepstow last time.

50/1 winner of Southwell mares' handicap hurdle in June 2022. Only one creditable effort (over fences) in 3 subsequent outings, but would merit respect if the market spoke in her favour making stable debut after 8 months off.

Took a step forward from hurdling/stable debut when fourth in maiden at Southwell in November 2021. However, off for a year ahead of the current season and has well held on all 3 starts since. Back down in trip with cheekpieces applied.

Produced much his best effort since switched to handicaps when staying on for fourth at Uttoxeter (2½m) back from a break in November. Poor since and bit to prove now.

Well held in 3 runs over hurdles last term. Ran well on the level in October but failed to improve in a handicap over C&D last time. Now tried in cheekpieces.

Fair in bumpers and he posted much his best effort in this sphere when fifth of 9 on handicap debut at Uttoxeter (2m4f). Pulled up at Huntingdon since, though.

Some decent bits and pieces of form to his name but out of the weights and likely to need his first outing for 5 months.

Forecasts

Mole Court (11/4), Can't Beat History (7/2), Whenthepennydrops (11/2), Tedwin Hills (7/1), Lough Carra (15/2), Lighthouse Mill (9/1), My Virtue (10/1), Miss Wachit (10/1), The Bandit (11/1), Merveillo (14/1), Raqisa (14/1), Coconut Tudor (14/1), Cheer's Delboy (22/1), Clean Getaway (33/1), Classic Tune (40/1), Manofthemoment (80/1)

Verdict

CAN'T BEAT HISTORY upped his game when runner-up in a handicap at Doncaster 49 days ago and, with more to come, he's fancied to go one better. Handicap-debutant Tedwin Hills is a danger and Mole Court deserves respect on the back of a victory at Hereford.
