Fly By Milan²³

Age: 8| Weight: 11-9| J: Danny McMenamin| T: N G Richards

11/4

Well-bred sort who showed fair form when placed all 4 starts in bumpers in 2020-21 and was all the better for his comeback/hurdling debut when off the mark in 8-runner maiden at Hexham (20.1f) 23 days ago. Open to further improvement.

Form: 2322/51

Grain D'oudairies¹³³

Age: 7| Weight: 11-9| J: B S Hughes| T: D McCain Jnr

1/1

Showed promise in his only bumper and looked a good prospect sent hurdling when easily landing 9-runner maiden at Bangor (16.7f) in November. Sure to go on to better things.

Form: 3-1

Largy Shark¹³⁰

Age: 6| Weight: 11-9| J: D A Jacob| T: S R B Crawford| D

3/1

Failed to progress in a trio of bumpers but looked a useful prospect when making a winning hurdles debut in a novice at Ayr (19.5f) in November, leading before last and quickening clear. Has more to come after his break. Player.

Form: 75-41

Busty Boy¹³

Age: 6| Weight: 11-2| J: Craig Nichol| T: D Bourke

9/1

Successful on 3 of his 4 starts in Irish points and achieved more than previously under Rules when second in 5-runner C&D novice 13 days ago. That was a weak affair, however.

Form: 0-12112

Eagle Watch⁴¹

Age: 5| Weight: 11-2| J: C O'Farrell| T: J Walton

150/1

Eagle Top gelding. Half-brother to 2 point winners. Dam (c80/h76) maiden hurdler/chaser.

Form: 6

Navigate West¹⁸

Age: 5| Weight: 11-2| J: Sam Coltherd| T: J Parkinson & S Smith

66/1

Hinted at ability on the first of 2 outings in bumpers and did the same sent hurdling at Wetherby 18 days ago but probably won't be of interest until handicaps.

Form: 603

Izzy Bell^t⁹¹

Age: 5| Weight: 10-9| J: Thomas Dowson| T: M A Barnes

250/1

Well beaten in bumpers and pulled up both starts over hurdles. Easily passed over.

Form: 098-PP

Lunar Glow⁹

Age: 5| Weight: 10-9| J: Nathan Moscrop| T: G Boanas

28/1

Shaped like a stayer in bumpers and it's been a similar story both starts over hurdles.

Form: 44566

Forecasts

Grain D'oudairies (1/1), Fly By Milan (11/4), Largy Shark (3/1), Langdale Lane (5/1), Busty Boy (9/1), Nab Wood (16/1), Lunar Glow (28/1), Navigate West (66/1), Eagle Watch (150/1), Izzy Bell (250/1)

An interesting race of its type. GRAIN D'OUDAIRIES looked potentially useful when making a winning hurdling debut in a good time at Bangor back in November and is open to plenty of improvement, so he's selected to defy a penalty. Fly By Milan scored with a bit up his sleeve at Hexham and warrants respect, as does Largy Shark, who quickened clear in fine style at Ayr.
