Everyday Champagne³⁶

Age: 7| Weight: 11-13| J: Sean Quinlan| T: N G Richards| OR: 99| BF

9/2

Surpassed hurdle form when making a winning chase debut at Doncaster on reappearance in November. Good second there last time but seemed unsuited by drop back to this trip at Musselburgh on penultimate start.

Form: 314-162

Storm Tiger¹³

Age: 7| Weight: 11-10| J: Nathan Moscrop| T: Mrs Stella Barclay| OR: 96

5/1

Point winner has taken well to fences, good third of 9 in handicap at this course (20f, soft) 13 days ago, faring best of those held up. Needs considering.

Form: 59-5243

Edmond Dantes^p1,t⁴²

Age: 7| Weight: 11-5| J: Danny McMenamin| T: F P Murtagh| OR: 91| BF

125/1

Essentially disappointing over hurdles and well held on debut for this yard after 16 months off. Makes chase debut. Headgear on.

Form: 6000U-8

Sputnik⁵³

Age: 8| Weight: 11-3| J: Craig Nichol| T: Mrs J Stephen| OR: 89| D

16/1

Off the mark over fences at Hexham last spring and had bit in hand when making a winning reappearance at Ayr in October. Just respectable efforts at best since, however, and others make more appeal.

Form: 131P36

The Electrician^p⁵³

Age: 7| Weight: 11-1| J: Ryan Mania| T: R M Smith| OR: 87

11/1

Modest maiden over hurdles but got his head in front at the second attempt in this sphere at Hexham (2½m, soft) last May. Hasn't been firing since returning from a break, however.

Form: 8125PP

Azof Des Mottes^t³⁵

Age: 6| Weight: 11-1| J: Jonathon Bewley⁽³⁾| T: G Bewley| OR: 87

15/2

Modest hurdler who showed aptitude for chasing when fourth at Kelso 35 days ago. Likely to improve on that, so no forlorn hope.

Form: 2P-9S84

Eveque²³

Age: 9| Weight: 10-10| J: C O'Farrell| T: Mrs J Walton| OR: 82

20/1

Good efforts on his first 2 starts over fences but well below par since. Mark on the slide at least.

Form: P225P-5

Shanbally Rose⁹⁷

Age: 9| Weight: 10-7| J: Dylan Johnston⁽⁷⁾| T: R Dobbin| OR: 79

40/1

Off the mark in 7-runner handicap chase at Perth in September. Placed next 2 starts but needs to shrug off a below-par run at Musselburgh.

Form: 6-P1235

Moonacura^p⁹

Age: 6| Weight: 10-7| J: B S Hughes| T: W Coltherd| OR: 79| BF

11/2

Still a maiden and not the easiest to catch right, though left chase debut effort well behind when close second at Hexham 9 days ago.

Form: 9-83962

Get 'em In^t²⁸

Age: 7| Weight: 10-3| J: Thomas Dowson| T: M A Barnes| OR: 75

50/1

Little solid form. Chase debut.

Form: 87790-8

Get Going^p⁹

Age: 6| Weight: 10-3| J: Jamie Hamilton| T: M Walford| OR: 75

13/2

Failed to make an impact over hurdles but left chase bow well behind when close third at Hexham 9 days ago. Not discounted off same mark.

Form: 8077B3

Bannside⁹⁷

Age: 7| Weight: 10-2| J: Alan Doyle⁽⁵⁾| T: I A Duncan| OR: 69

40/1

Poor form over hurdles and hasn't looked any better in this sphere following 5 attempts. 5 lb out of weights.

Form: 6F-6790

Forecasts

Lisloran (4/1), Everyday Champagne (9/2), Storm Tiger (5/1), Moonacura (11/2), Get Going (13/2), Azof Des Mottes (15/2), The Electrician (11/1), Sputnik (16/1), Eveque (20/1), Bannside (40/1), Shanbally Rose (40/1), Get 'em In (50/1), Edmond Dantes (125/1)

STORM TIGER has taken well to fences, faring by far the best of those ridden from off the pace when third here 2 weeks ago, so could be the answer. Recent Newcastle winner Lisloran is another to consider, while Get Going was a close third off this mark at Hexham.
