Made the frame in 2 Irish points in spring 2021 and offered something to work on when fourth of 9 in a C&D novice in early March. Went backwards at Southwell just a fortnight on, though.
Showed nothing in his only bumper and sent off big prices when failing to complete all 3 starts in maiden hurdles, hampered when falling first at Ayr latest.
Sholokhov gelding. Dam (c86), maiden chaser, half-sister to useful hurdler/chaser (stays 25f) Wishing And Hoping. Off mark in Irish points at fifth attempt in December and has joined a respected yard.
Successful twice in French bumpers (tongue tied second time) but went backwards from UK/stable debut when well held at Sedgefield last time.
Leading Light gelding. Dam (c93/h120), 19f/2½m hurdle winner, sister to bumper winner/fairly useful hurdler (2¼m winner) All That Remains. In front when fell last only outing in Irish points (Dec 30).
Easily off the mark in points at fifth attempt but looked one for the longer term under Rules when comfortably held in a novice hurdle at Plumpton last month.
£55,000 purchase from Irish pointing field who has been badly outpaced both starts in bumpers 5 months apart, so looks one to take on kept to 2m for hurdle debut.
Looked a good prospect when landing a bumper at Market Rasen on debut in December, surging to the front from an unpromising position. Not seen to best effect when third under a penalty at Huntingdon 3 months later and must enter calculations on hurdle debut.
Better previous efforts when second in 6-runner bumper at Down Royal (16.9f, heavy) 20 days ago but needs to step up considerably on her only previous run over hurdles.
Made a successful start in a Catterick bumper and ran to a similar level next 2 outings. However, was too free when well held at Kelso last time. Makes hurdles debut.
Modest maiden on Flat for Richard Fahey (stays 9f). Sold for only 4,500 gns and gelded ahead of hurdle debut. Also tongue tied.
Doctor Dino gelding. Half-brother to useful hurdler Hotesse du Chenet and fairly useful hurdler/chaser Gary du Chenet, both by Martaline. Makes plenty of appeal on paper and strong market support would need taking seriously.
Showed some aptitude for hurdling in a pair of juvenile events in late 2022 and ran well on his most recent Flat outing. Each-way claims.

Resplendent Grey (15/8), Joker Du Chenet (11/4), Super Stars (15/2), Clody Flyer (17/2), Halpha Soleil (9/1), You Some Girl (10/1), Harper Valley (25/1), Sunshine Girl (25/1), Annaharvey Lad (33/1), Hugueneau (33/1), Pats Dream (40/1), Acoustic (150/1), Captain Nelson (200/1)
RESPLENDENT GREY created a good impression when landing a Market Rasen bumper on his debut before not being seen to best effect under a penalty at Huntingdon, so he's very much of interest now switching to hurdles in what looks a winnable contest. Newcomer Joker du Chenet makes plenty of appeal on paper and strong market support for him would put a slightly different slant on matters. Super Stars may prove best of the rest.
