Still a maiden but plenty of decent placed efforts this season at up to 21f. Latest Ffos Las performance wasn't one of his better efforts and a visor is now reached for.

Struggled for form sent chasing this season and fared no better back over timber last week. Visor replaces cheekpieces.

Looked limited over hurdles but switched to a handicap over fences and much more like it when second at Market Rasen3 weeks ago. Obvious claims up 1 lb.

In first-time hood, showed bit more than previously in novice hurdle at Exeter in December. Again shaped better than result in similar event at Ffos Las the following month but now tackles the larger obstacles following a tame handicap debut.

Offered something to work on sent chasing for his handicap debut at Exeter (19.2f) on New Year's Day, clear ability evident in his matching strides with the winner until early in the home straight. Held back by mistakes here since.

Forecasts

Flash Gorcombe (5/2), Howyouplaythegame (3/1), Prime Pretender (9/2), Treasure Dillon (5/1), Poet's Reflection (6/1), Pencil (9/1)

Verdict

HOWYOUPLAYTHEGAME looked a different proposition switched to a handicap over fences when second at Market Rasen 18 days ago and this looks a good chance for him to go one place better. None of his rivals look particularly solid but Flash Gorcombe showed enough at Exeter to think he can be a factor from his lowly mark.
