Racing To School Thurlbear Primary Juvenile Hurdle (GBB Race)

Off time: 13:30 | Winning time: 4m 27.40s

Jilaijone^t²⁰

Age: 4| Weight: 11-7| J: Philip Armson⁽³⁾| T: D Pipe| OR: 116

3/1

Fair ex-French hurdler who made a winning start for his new yard in 18f juvenile at Fontwell. Trio of solid efforts followed but he took a backward step at Exeter 3 weeks ago. Back in a juvenile hurdle and he should be a big factor.

Spartan Army³³

Age: 4| Weight: 11-7| J: Adrian Heskin| T: A King| OR: 118| D

1/2

Progressive 10f winner on Flat for Joseph O'Brien. Changed hands for 170,000 gns and went in at the first time of asking in this sphere at Wetherby in November. Better form in defeat when second at Wincanton and will find this a lot easier than the Adonis last time.

Form: 1525

Call Me Arthur⁵⁸

Age: 4| Weight: 11-0| J: Stan Sheppard| T: T Lacey

8/1

€30,000 3-y-o, Soldier of Fortune gelding. Closely related to 3 winners, including temperamental but modest chaser Expanding Universe. Showed a bit on January's debut at Ffos Las (15.8f) but looked in need of more of a test.

Form: 5

Faded Fantasy¹⁰

Age: 4| Weight: 11-0| J: Nick Scholfield| T: Christian Williams

18/1

Fair maiden on the Flat for Ger Lyons. Held up and never involved both starts at this venue in recent weeks and looks a handicap project.

200/1

Modest maiden on the Flat. Hurdles debut wasn't devoid of promise but well held at Huntingdon since. Tongue tie on for the first time in this code.

Forecasts

Spartan Army (1/2), Jilaijone (3/1), Call Me Arthur (8/1), Faded Fantasy (18/1), Only Fools (40/1), The Rebel Breen (200/1), La Referi (300/1)

This represents a big drop in class for SPARTAN ARMY given he contested the Adonis at Kempton a month ago and he's fancied to get right back on track. Jilaijone was disappointing in handicap company last time but is still the obvious threat, though Only Fools did win twice on the Flat in France.
