Completed a 7-timer at Catterick in November 2021 and bagged back-to-back handicap chases over 23.8f at Perth last year. Successful on latest start in this sphere, too, albeit that was off a 19 lb lower mark and Brian Hughes prefers Jungle Jack here.
Has improved again this season successful on return at Wetherby and added to his tally in a 15.8f Huntingdon handicap in January. By no means disgraced off this mark in a strong race at Ascot (19.3f) last time and he has to enter calculations.
Yet to finish outside of the first 2 from 7 starts over hurdles, backing up November's Haydock reapearance success with creditable efforts in defeat there and at Newcastle since. Brian Hughes' pick of the McCain-trained trio and bold show likely here in first-time cheekpieces.
Irish import who made a good start for this yard, placed twice in Uttoxeter handicaps prior to scoring in decisive fashion at Ffos Las (2½m) in January. However, form nosedived at Chepstow last time (pulled up) and he may now be a shade too high in the weights.
Back to his best when gaining his first success for current connections at Kelso in January. Hasn't done a great deal wrong since, including when fourth of 16 in the Morebattle back at Kelso earlier this month, and likely to be in the mix once again.
Point winner who has progressed nicely over hurdles, winning 2m handicaps at Plumpton and Catterick in January before a near-miss at the latter course last month. However, he was put in his place in the Morebattle at Kelso last time and is another who may now be in the handicapper's grip.
Landed a 3-y-o hurdle on debut in France in spring 2021. Struggled initially for present connections but improved when bagging a 19.3f Catterick handicap last time and a 7 lb rise may well underestimate him.

Forecasts
Jungle Jack (9/4), Tanganyika (9/4), Homme Public (5/1), Thereisnodoubt (7/1), El Muchacho (10/1), Kings Keeper (10/1), Minella Trump (16/1), Gaelik Coast (16/1)
This is more competitive than the handicap TANGANYIKA landed at Catterick and he's now 7 lb higher in the weights, but there could be more to come now that he's found his feet for present connections. The 5-y-o is marginally preferred to the consistent Jungle Jack, who appeared to find things happening too quickly over 17f at Newcastle last time and is likely to have a big say back up in trip here. Homme Public and Thereisnodoubt are others with pretty solid credentials.
