MW Paving & Groundworks Novices' Handicap Hurdle

French bumper winner who was largely disappointing over hurdles for Nicky Henderson, but he may have benefited from a considerate return/stable debut here 4 weeks ago. Not dismissed back in trip.

Seven-time winner on the Flat who got off the mark in this sphere in 2m handicap at Catterick in January. Ran creditably from a 4 lb higher mark over C&D next time, but found his good run coming to a halt back at Catterick (19.3f) last time. Bounce back called for.

Down the field in his sole bumper but has hinted at ability on his completed starts over hurdles and may do better now tackling a low-grade handicap.

In the process of showing a bit more than previously when falling at the last at Wetherby in January, but made little impact on Newcastle handicap debut subsequently.

Fairly useful at her best on Flat. Nowhere near that level in 4 runs over hurdles but is a potential improver now handicapping from a basement mark (has had a breathing operation).

Poor maiden on Flat and showed little in 3 juvenile hurdles towards the end of 2022.
