3/1

Winning pointer who showed much improved form in a first-time visor when landing 13-runner handicap hurdle at Plumpton (25f, good to soft) 24 days ago, staying on well. Up 6 lb but still weighted to go close with headgear retained over this longer trip.

Twenty runs since last win in 2020 but fared better than of late in refitted cheekpieces when fifth of 12 in handicap hurdle at Wetherby (24.1f) 17 days ago. Not ruled out off an easing mark.

Forecasts

Thatbeatsbanagher (7/4), Hilnamix (3/1), Perfect Man (10/3), Ailes D'amour (13/2), Master Of The Malt (15/2), Storm Force One (14/1), Sight Nor Seen (80/1)

HILNAMIX showed the benefit of a visor when going in at Plumpton last time and can defy a 6 lb rise with the headgear retained and this longer trip also a likely plus. Thatbeatsbanagher arrives in good nick and can boast a C&D success so is feared most ahead of the handily-weighted Perfect Man.
