Returned to form from out of the blue when landing 19.5f handicap hurdle at Chepstow in January. Creditable second in a chase at Musselburgh next time but didn't jump with any fluency when pulled up in another chase at Doncaster since. Wastes no time going back hurdling down in trip.
Step back in the right direction when third of 10 in 19f Wetherby handicap hurdle last month, seeming to benefit from a more positive ride. Well handicapped if he can build on that.
Back to winning ways at Carlisle last February and ended his last campaign with 3 good placed efforts. Off 5 months, not at best when fourth of 9 at Carlisle in October and absent again since.
Successful 3 times for Toby Lawes last season and also successful at Cartmel for new yard in June. Off 5 months, good head second to the reopposing Applaus at Carlisle 44 days ago. Unlikely to be far away if showing up in similar form.
Fairly useful novice hurdler last season but has recorded tame efforts in a handicap chase/hurdle this winter. Bounce back needed after a short break.
Reached the frame in 3 handicap hurdles last winter but he didn't pull up any frees on the Flat in 2022 and was a distant last of 4 back hurdling at Taunton in December. Off since.
Made a successful debut in bumper at Wexford in March 2021. Placed in a pair of 2m novice hurdles in a light career since. Possibly not the easiest to train but does have potential as a lightly-raced type now handicapping.
Successful 3 times over 17f at Carlisle last season and went close over that C&D in November. Respectable efforts since and dropped 2 lb for latest run which can only help.
Dual hurdle winner for Joseph O'Brien last year and ended his time with that stable when second in a Ballinrobe handicap in August. However, he was beaten a long way out on sole start for Patrick Neville and it has been a similar story on all 4 outings for current yard.
Chasing a hat-trick after 2 narrow victories over 17f at Carlisle, edging out the reopposing Vocal Duke latterly. Still competitively handicapped but needs to show he can do it away from Carlisle.

Forecasts
Hurlerontheditch (3/1), Hasty Brook (6/1), Alnadam (13/2), Mr Muldoon (7/1), Vocal Duke (15/2), On To Victory (17/2), Better Getalong (9/1), Malpas (10/1), Applaus (12/1), Faron (66/1)
ALNADAM fared better when third at Wetherby last month and is given a chance to build on that as he has plenty of handicapping scope on his peak form. Vocal Duke and lightly-raced handicap newcomer Hurlerontheditch are a couple who could give him something to think about.
