Patchy form during the last couple of seasons but he's smart when on-song and made an encouraging return from a 6-month break when second of 12 to subsequent Coral Gold Cup winner Le Milos at Bangor in November. Below par in Classic Chase at Warwick since but this less competitive. Leading claims.

Has returned to form in veterans' company this season on the back of another wind op, successful at Warwick (3m) on his reappearance before a good second in the Veterans' Handicap Chase Final at Sandown. Went well for a long way at Exeter since and needs considering.
Useful hurdler/chaser who ended a long losing run in 3m Cork handicap hurdle on final start for Gordon Elliott in August. Good second back chasing for his new yard here in October but disappointing since. Headgear back on.
Sole success for this yard came early in 2021 but lightly raced and largely below par since. Belated first try in headgear now.
Bumper/multiple hurdles winner who, after 7 months off, finished runner-up for the fourth time in 6 starts over fences at Carlisle (24.5f) in November. Not so good tried in cheekpieces at Ayr last month, however, and visor now tried.
Smart chaser at his peak and capitalised on a much-reduced mark in 25f Cartmel handicap in January. Struggled in Eider at Newcastle since but he's been unreliable for a while now.

Ramses De Teillee (11/4), Lord Du Mesnil (3/1), Uncle Alastair (16/5), Sam's Adventure (10/3), Fagan (11/1), Niceandeasy (12/1), Dallas Des Pictons (28/1)
LORD DU MESNIL disappointed in the Classic Chase at Warwick last time but showed he still has plenty to offer when runner-up at Bangor on return so is worth another chance back down in class. Ramses de Teillee is another who's used to keeping better company so rates the main threat.
