Went the wrong way in bumpers after such a promising first season in that sphere and failed to meet expectations sent hurdling after 8 months off at Hereford (19.7f) in November, having been held back by novicey mistakes. Had breathing op since (tongue strap also fitted) and ought to improve.

Is bred to be useful jumper but has offered very little so far. Back down in trip.

Half-sister to 8 winners and offered a bit to work on when fifth in a Hereford bumper on debut back in December. Should have a future over jumps.

£600 3-y-o, Multiplex mare. Half-sister to fair hurdler Millie of Mayo. Tailed off both starts in point bumpers in late-2020.

Regressive on the Flat and has yet to better modest form over hurdles.

Placed on the first 2 of 3 outings in bumpers and improved on her hurdling debut form when second in 6-runner novice at Cartmel (17.2f) in May. Upped in trip and not quite in same form at this course 6 months later but still enters calculations.

Successful in her sole bumper and has shaped with some promise on all 3 starts over hurdles despite her jumping lacking fluency, including behind a good prospect at Market Rasen (16.6f) on her yard debut last time. Tongue strap fitted and should be heavily involved.

Fair form in minor events on the Flat, stays 1½m, best effort last time. Sold from Simon & Ed Crisford for 35,000 gns in November and is an interesting hurdling newcomer for a stable having a fine season.

Has little form on the Flat and, while she has shown a bit more over hurdles, it's hard to see her playing a leading role.

Fair maiden on the Flat (stays 1½m) but ran poorly on final start in 2022, so perhaps best watched now switching to hurdling for new yard after a breathing op.

Showed little in a pair of minor events on the Flat for Mick Channon. Off 19 months ahead of hurdling debut and easily passed over.

Well held in a pair of juvenile hurdles 12 weeks apart but has been in good form on the Flat of late, opening her account at Wolverhampton at the end of January. Worth a look back in this sphere.

Fair 14f winner on Flat for Andrew Balding. Changed hands for 14,000 gns but in need of the experience when well held both starts over hurdles. Cheekpieces on for 1st time.

Forecasts

Shelikesthelights (2/1), Rose Of Siena (3/1), Flirtatious Girl (10/3), Golden Glance (6/1), La Pagerie (7/1), Rendition (22/1), Noonie (33/1), Virtuoso (40/1), Rhyme Scheme (50/1), Lady Hamilton (100/1), Happy Index (200/1), Penumbra (200/1), Mrs Jones (250/1)

Verdict

SHELIKESTHELIGHTS has yet to set the world alight over hurdles, but it's worth remembering she was a fairly impressive winner of her sole outing in bumpers and any sort of improvement on just her second start for Fergal O'Brien could well be enough to take this. Golden Glance, a lightly-raced performer on the Flat, wouldn't need to be anything out of the ordinary to make an impact on her hurdling debut, while Flirtatious Girl and Rose of Siena are others with claims.
