Horse A-Z
12/1, eighth of 14 in bumper at Exeter (17f, good to soft) on debut 119 days ago. Was a bit better than the result on that occasion but he'll need to leave that bare form well behind back from a break.

£40,000 Blue Bresil gelding. Dam (h106), maiden hurdler, sister to smart hurdler/top-class chaser (stayed 29f) Bellshill. Betting should guide to expectations with this newcomer.

£80,000 buy after finishing runner-up on completed start in Irish points. Very interesting contender for a stable with a good bumper record.

From a top stable but sent off at 25/1 when well held on Kempton debut 16 days ago.

7/1, shaped encouragingly when 9 lengths fifth of 10 on Southwell debut in January, travelling well long way. Much respected with improvemnet likely.

Has joined a top yard since making a winning start in the Irish pointing field in December. Market confidence behind her would look very significant.

14/1, raced freely despite being fitted with a hood but did show ability when fifth of 10 in a Punchestown bumper (2m, good to soft) on debut 19 days ago. This sharp track ought to suit him on that evidence. Yard has had a bumper winner in Britain.

Soldier of Fortune filly who has shown fair form when reaching the frame at Ludlow and Market Rasen (listed) in recent months. Prominent showing likely here.

Forecasts

Cornamona (15/8), Flying Fortune (4/1), Saint Jaguen (4/1), Ballee (11/2), Tregele (8/1), South Omo Zone (8/1), Native Moon (8/1), Rascal (12/1), Came From Nothing (18/1), Freddie's Song (80/1), Thorpeness (150/1)

Verdict

An interesting bumper to conclude. TREGELE impressed with the way he travelled for a long way on his Southwell debut 6 weeks ago and gets the nod to build on that promising run. Point-recruits Cornamona and South Omo Zone are potentially dangerous opponents, particularly if the betting speaks in their favour. Flying Fortune has the form to be thereabouts, while the strength behind Saint Jaguen on his debut suggests he's thought capable of a lot better than he showed on that occasion.
