Much improved since switched to fences, making it 2 from 2 in this sphere when again making all at Wetherby last month. More to come and should make a bold bid for the hat-trick.

Useful form over hurdles (runner-up in Tolworth) and similar form over fences, albeit record is rather mixed, below-par fourth of 5 in handicap chase (10/3) at Wetherby (19.4f, good to soft) 34 days ago.

C&D winner in February. Well held at Kempton next time though that was much more competitive than this.

Has taken very well to fences, making a winning chase bow at Aintree on return before advancing his form further when beaten only by a subsequent winner at Ayr when last seen in November. Remains of interest.

Latest win in chase at Fontwell in December. Unable to match that form since but latest fifth of 11 in handicap at Kempton (20.5f, good to soft) was respectable. Tongue strap on 1st time.

Forecasts

Whistleinthedark (2/1), Doctor Ken (11/4), Jacamar (7/2), Jetoile (5/1), Foxboro (8/1)

Verdict

WHISTLEINTHEDARK has looked a natural switched to fences, making all both starts at Market Rasen and Wetherby, and can complete the hat-trick with more to come. Doctor Ken is another who is much improved for the switch to chasing and is the obvious threat.
