Bounced back with a career best when running out an emphatic winner at Ayr 3 weeks ago after 4 months off (had undergone a breathing operation). Has an excellent record in small fields (front runner) so much respected.

Maiden/novice hurdle winner at Taunton in late 2020 but failed to progress over fences last season and subsequently sold from Paul Nicholls for £23,000 in May.

Scored twice over this sort of trip last term and ran right up to best when second over C&D on return. Well below that level at Wetherby/Southwell since, though, so has a bit to prove all of a sudden.
|
Has won a bumper, a hurdle race and a chase in just 4 career outings, jumping soundly in the main to make a successful chase/ handicap bow at Newbury after 11 months off on New Year's Eve. Up 7 lb but had a bit in hand that day so big shout with more to come.

Forecasts
Gamaret (8/11), Douglas Talking (6/4), Heartbreak Kid (11/1), Atholl Street (50/1)
GAMARET left the impression there was a bit more left in the tank when making a successful chase/handicap debut after 11 months off at Newbury on New Year's Eve and this low-mileage 7-y-o is sure to progress and win more races in this sphere. Douglas Talking looked better than ever after a breathing op when an easy winner at Ayr and is the obvious threat.
