His performances in a handicap hurdle/chase this winter have been a little underwhelming but there's plenty of time for this 7-y-o to click.

Bumper winner who made steady progress over hurdles, making his effort earlier than ideal (collared late on having been 6 lengths ahead at last) when second to a subsequent dual winner (pair clear) on Doncaster handicap debut 25 days ago. Raised 5 lb but still looks ahead of his mark.

Has hinted at promise on his last two starts, set a lot to do when seventh when at Newcastle back in November. Well treated on his best form but betting perhaps the best guide back from a 4-month break.

Good second in a 2m novice at Hexham in April. Likely needed it after 9 months off at Doncaster on his recent return to action and he remains one who is likely to go on to better things in handicaps.

Only poor form over hurdles in Ireland and offered little on his first outing for a new stable at Sedgefield only 11 days ago.

Showed a bit in a French bumper and at the third time of asking over hurdles for new connections when fifth in a C&D maiden in January. May do better in handicaps.

Off the mark at Plumpton for Gary Moore in March 2021 and runner-up twice for this yard in June of that year. First sign of retaining ablity since returning from an absence when sixth of 12 at Musselburgh last month.

Offered little in 4 outings in 2021, including a handicap. Been absent 16 months (has had wind surgery). Can only be watched.

Forecasts

Glory Bridge (5/4), Burrows Hall (5/2), Darkest Day (13/2), Inflagrante (7/1), Jukebox D'eddy (10/1), Calevade (10/1), Oakmont (16/1), Hallowed Ground (50/1), Secrets De Famille (125/1)

Verdict

GLORY BRIDGE was well clear with a subsequent dual winner when second on his Doncaster handicap debut and still looks well treated despite being raised 5 lb for that. Burrows Hall appeals as one who should have more to offer in handicaps and is feared most ahead of fellow handicap newcomer Jukebox d'Eddy.
