Tricky customer (often finds little) but couldn't be faulted when finally off the mark over fences in listed handicap at Ayr (20.5f) Last spring. However, solid reappearance fourth in the Old Roan was followed by a poor effort at Newbury when last seen in November.

Revitalised by cheekpieces/tongue strap last spring and good start to this season when placed in both the Grand Sefton and Becher Chase over the National fences at Aintree. No show at Kempton last time but good chance he'll bounce back now returned to a left-handed track.

Ran right up to his best on the back of a lengthy absence when gaining third chase success at Chepstow in December. Things haven't gone to plan since (unseated at the first fence at Warwick recently) but will be a threat granted a clear round here.

Three-time winner for Margaret Mullins in Ireland, most recently landing a Fairyhouse handicap chase last spring. Failed to make an impact on debut for new yard at Ffos Las in November, though, and absent since.

Dual hurdles winner (at up to 21f) who is very much a chaser on looks and there was some encouragement to glean from return/chase debut third at Doncaster, keeping on under hands-and-heels. Jumping went to pot at Ayr since but he's well worth another chance.

Notched second win over hurdles at Punchestown last spring (also successful twice in this sphere) and good second returned fences back from a break at Fairyhouse in October. Mistakes have proved costly since but would have a fighting chance for new yard here if his jumping is on-point.

It's probably best not to read too much into PERCUSSION's disappointing display at Kempton, as he simply doesn't appear to be anywhere near as effective on right-handed tracks as he is going this way round. The better ground here will help, too, and he could be the answer to a rather tricky-looking contest. Beakstown, Marshalled and Song of Earth all have a bit to prove at present, which leaves Enzo d'Airy and Famous Bridge as the main dangers.
