Off time: 13:15 | Winning time: 5m 3.12s

Arini^t²²

Age: 6| Weight: 11-3| J: R T Dunne| T: T R Gretton

100/1

Last in pair of bumpers for Tim Vaughan (had wind-op after debut) and failed to last home on hurdling debut after 9 months off at Uttoxeter (15.8f, good to soft) just over 3 weeks ago. Tough to see her getting involved upped in trip.

Form: 3-08

Dersy Social⁵¹

Age: 6| Weight: 11-3| J: Bryony Le Clerc| T: L Wadham

11/4

Little impression on both starts over hurdles so far (including here last time) so percentage call is to look elsewhere on this qualifying run.

Form: P5

Giveusacuddle^t1¹⁰

Age: 9| Weight: 11-3| J: K Brogan| T: D P Quinn

150/1

Little sign of ability in points/both starts under Rules so far. Easy to look elsewhere.

Form: PP0/P-P

Just Sophie²⁵

Age: 5| Weight: 11-3| J: James Davies| T: Noel Williams

10/1

Was badly in need of experience in a bumper 12 months ago and shaped better than the distance beaten suggested at Southwell (20.4f, good) last month, fading having still been in touch home turn. May well take a step forward here.

Form: 8-5

Pass The Love On²⁹

Age: 6| Weight: 11-3| J: Tom Cannon| T: A King

11/10

Showed fair form when runner-up on second outing in bumpers and having had a breathing operation, showed something to work on sent hurdling after 14 months off when mid-field at Wetherby (16f, good to soft) last month. Better to come, so she's high on the shortlist.

Form: 82-5

Stargazer Belle^h⁵⁴

Age: 5| Weight: 11-3| J: Harry Bannister| T: B I Case

33/1

Well down the pack in a pair of bumpers so will need to leave those efforts well behind now hurdling.

Form: 00

The Eminent Goose⁶⁰

Age: 7| Weight: 11-3| J: Dylan Whelan⁽¹⁰⁾| T: B Pauling

3/1

Finished third on her sole start in points in March 2021 but offered little on her belated Rules debut at Ludlow and was too free at Hereford last time. Better showing anticipated here.

Form: 3/P5

Forecasts

Pass The Love On (11/10), Dersy Social (11/4), The Eminent Goose (3/1), Just Sophie (10/1), Stargazer Belle (33/1), Arini (100/1), Giveusacuddle (150/1)

This looks to revolve around PASS THE LOVE ON, who showed something to work on sent hurdling after 14 months off when mid-field at Wetherby recently and provided she can brush up on her jumping technique, Alan King's mare should prove tough to beat. The Eminent Goose was too free at Hereford last time, but she's fancied to be involved here, with Just Sophie rounding off the shortlist.
