10/1

Showed a bit to work on when third at Ludlow on debut but that was 10 months ago and he needs to find improvement.

50/1

Brave Mansonnien horse. Half-brother to 3 winners, including top-class chaser Saint Calvados and Piemontesina. Dam lightly raced over hurdles. Likely to be brought along gradually.

6/1

£92,000 4-y-o, Spider Flight gelding. Dam, French 2m hurdle winner, half-sister to useful hurdler (stayed 3m) Tanerko Emery. Point winner and an interesting recruit.

€13,000 3-y-o, £145,000 4-y-o, Leading Light gelding. Closely related to modest hurdler Shean Glory, stays 21f. Dam, winning pointer. Point winner who makes obvious appeal on debut for top yard.

Forecasts

Southoftheborder (11/8), High Treason (4/1), Big Fish (4/1), Genietoile (6/1), Bob Bob Ricard (10/1), La Pagerie (12/1), Jacobs Acre (14/1), J'ventile (20/1), Brave Calvados (50/1)

SOUTHOFTHEBORDER won his only start between the flags and makes plenty of appeal on his first go under Rules for Nicky Henderson. Big Fish shaped nicely when second at Exeter on debut and he's a clear danger, while Genietoile is another notable point recruit.
