Two wins from 5 runs last year. 15 lengths fifth of 9 to Tall Boy in UAE 2000 Guineas at this course (8f, 40/1) 22 days ago. Needs to step up plenty on what he has showed on these shores if he's to figure.

Maclean's Music colt. Off the mark on debut in a Jebel Ali maiden (7f) in December and having lost all chance at the start here next time, he returned to form when third in a C&D minor event 5 weeks ago. Needs to find further progress to play a lead role here.

Fairly useful colt. Visored for 1st time, career best when winning 8-runner minor event at this C&D (8/13) 27 days ago by 5½ lengths from Oasis Moon. That may not prove his limit at this sort of trip.

Fairly useful colt. 7/2, won 7-runner minor event at this C&D 36 days ago by 4¾ lengths from Go Soldier Go, easily. Remains low-mileage and progressed with each outing to date, so well worth his place at this higher level.

Promising type. 10/1 and blinkered, won 11-runner minor event on debut at Jebel Ali (7f) 6 days ago. Significantly up in trip now and feasible to think he can do better again.

5/2 and tongue strap on for 1st time, creditable 1¼ lengths second of 7 to Mimi Kakushi in UAE Oaks at this C&D 15 days ago. That was only her second start on this surface and good chance she can get in the mix again with a repeat.

Verdict

MR RAJ created a good impression when landing a 7f maiden here in January and took his form up a notch when third in last month's UAE 2000 Guineas, staying on to pull clear of the remainder. He could well do better again now his stamina is tested further and earns the vote, with Lahresh, Ami Please and Southern Artist others fancied to be in the mix in an interesting affair.
