Forceta

Age: 5| Weight: 11-2| J: Aaron Anderson⁽⁵⁾| T: M E Sowersby

200/1

Life Force mare. Half-sister to fair hurdler Billable Grant. Dam unraced. Unlikely to feature.

Form:

Ivoire D'avril

Age: 5| Weight: 11-2| J: C O'Farrell| T: R Menzies

9/1

Magadino mare. Half-sister to 3 winners, including useful hurdler/chaser Ganapathi and French hurdler/chaser East of The Valley. Worth a market check.

Form:

Miss Arabella¹⁰⁰

Age: 5| Weight: 11-2| J: Ryan Mania| T: A M Thomson

13/2

Related to winners and hinted at ability at Newcastle first time out. Not seen for 100 days and needs to step up markedly.

Form: 4

Mavis Pike¹⁶

Age: 4| Weight: 10-4| J: James Turner⁽⁷⁾| T: N & W Twiston-Davies

15/8

Improved from debut when fourth at Huntingdon last time and another step forward would give her an excellent chance in this lesser event.

Form: 54

Storm Spirit

Age: 4| Weight: 10-4| J: Billy Garritty| T: Micky Hammond

14/1

Passing Glance filly. Dam unraced. Not an obvious sort on paper.

Form:

Woogrey¹⁸

Age: 4| Weight: 10-4| J: B S Hughes| T: Phillip Makin

8/1

Showed some ability when third of 9 in bumper (22/1) at Newcastle (16.2f, standard) but failed to back it up at Market Rasen 18 days ago. Needs to bounce back.

Form: 38

Forecasts

Ici La Reine (15/8), Mavis Pike (15/8), Miss Arabella (13/2), Woogrey (8/1), Ivoire D'avril (9/1), Storm Spirit (14/1), Forceta (200/1)

MAVIS PIKE took a step forward when fourth at Huntingdon 16 days ago and this doesn't look as strong a contest, so she's preferred to Ici La Reine, who made a winning debut over C&D. Ivoire d'Avril is a notable newcomer.
