Coral Racing Club Handicap Hurdle

Things didn't go to plan for this French recruit last season but he got his career back on track when landing a Sandown handicap hurdle in November. Good effort at second attempt over fences when runner-up at Newbury (22.5f, soft) in December. Fell early at Musselburgh since and now back hurdling.

Won a C&D maiden and Perth novice in early summer 2021. Absent since but top yard has stuck with him and it'll very interesting to see how much strength there is behind him in the betting.

Fairly useful winner on the Flat who has taken very well to hurdling, making it 5 wins in 8 starts when seeing off 6 rivals over 19.5f at Lingfield in December. Departed early in Lanzarote over C&D since. Respected with Caoilin Quinn taking 5 lb off.

Dual chaser winner at Market Rasen in 2020 and filled runners-up spot over hurdles/fences back at that venue in early summer 2021. Not at his best in a hurdle/chase since returning from an absence but his mark has come down and Jack Hogan takes a further 5 lb off. No shock were he to go well.

Unexposed sort who fell early on his C&D handicap debut on Boxing Day and shaped better than the result when fourth of 12 over 3m at Ascot since, keeping on from too far back. Likely he has a bigger performance in him soon.

Won at Plumpton around this time last year and bounced back from some lesser efforts when third of 12 in 25f Huntingdon handicap 29 days ago. Needs to show he can string good runs together now.

Progressed last spring, winning a pair of handicaps at around 2½m on good to soft. Comfortably his best effort this term when second of 7 over 19.5f at Doncaster 4 weeks ago. Likely to be competitive.

Wetherby bumper winner last February who has made a promising start to his hurdle career, striking at the third time of asking at Catterick (19.5f) just after Christmas. Tongue tie added now switching to handicap company. Could easily have more to offer.

Chase winner for Oliver Sherwood in October 2020. Showed he retained ability back from an absence for new yard last season but has been off for a further 11 months ahead of this reappearance. Others are more obvious.
