Virgin Bet Novices' Limited Handicap Chase (GBB Race)

Off time: 13:41 | Winning time: 5m 57.14s

Masters Legacy¹⁰²

2/1

Useful over hurdles and made a winning start to his chase career over C&D in November. Might have the found the run coming too soon when a distant third of 4 back here 10 days later and given time since (has had wind surgery). Retains potential.

Form: 200-613

11/10

Yet to score in this sphere but he posted some useful efforts last season. Not at best in 2 comeback outings towards the end of 2022 but his yard's good form this month provides hope for better this time.

Form: 2232-43

Fox Pro²³

Age: 8| Weight: 10-10| J: David Noonan| T: Mrs J Williams| OR: 120

11/4

Fairly useful chaser who was returning from 14 months off when 17 lengths third of 4 in a C&D novice 23 days ago. Entitled to strip fitter for the run and he's been given a chance by the handicapper (second off 6 lb higher early last season).

Form: 2P276-3

Forecasts

Gustavian (11/10), Masters Legacy (2/1), Fox Pro (11/4)

MASTERS LEGACY clearly can't have been right last time and, having been freshened up, is well worth another chance to confirm the promise of his C&D chase debut success.
