Wide-margin winner of a brace of points after hunter success at Cartmel in May and continued the good work back under Ruled with a ready success at Taunton last month. Subsequent effort is best excused.
Pulled up sharply on the back of some poor jumping at Aintree in May (final start for Tom George) and he never offered much on return/hunter chase debut for present yard at Hereford 19 days ago. Cheekpieces added to refitted tongue tie now.
Useful chaser. 4/5, career best when winning 4-runner hunter chase at Wincanton (25.1f, good to soft) 16 days ago, hard held. Should go well again.
Fairly useful chaser. Multiple point winner, but pulled up last time and this is a stiff task.
Unreliable individual who took a step forward when scoring at Cartmel (second past the post) 8 months ago. Ran out in a point last time and has plenty to find.
Very smart handicap chaser at his best and returned to form in some capacity when landing a hunter at Hereford recently. Big player if he can build on that.
Below form on 3 of 4 starts last season and, while he ran with credit on his latest outing between the flags, others make more appeal.
Fairly useful chaser for Sam Thomas. Runner-up on 2 of 3 starts in points, including latest (Jan 15). Not discounted.

Famous Clermont (4/5), Bennys King (7/2), Envious Editor (4/1), Caryto Des Brosses (9/2), Welsh Saint (11/1), Espoir De Teillee (20/1), Not A Role Model (20/1), Rewritetherules (28/1), Write It Down (50/1), Urbanist (100/1)
FAMOUS CLERMONT was pretty impressive at Wincanton last time and he's marginall preferred to Benny's King, who was classy in his day and returned to winning ways last time. Envious Editor also merits respect.
