Quickly made up into a fairly-useful chaser last winter, winning twice, and shaped better than the distance beaten suggests at Doncaster on return. Subsequent Wincanton effort was poor but will be a danger to all if able to bounce back up in trip.

Finished runner up on 4 of his 6 starts last season and back to best when filling same spot over C&D on return. Best effort since when creditable third back here last time, albeit 10 lengths behind East Street. 7 lb better off with that rival now.

Generally progressive over hurdles last term, winning twice from 5 starts. Getting the hang of things over fences now, just denied in this headgear over C&D last month. Pulled clear of the rest that day so big shout up 5 lb.

Gained her breakthrough success in handicap chase at Warwick (3m) in March and followed up over hurdles at Fontwell 5 weeks later. Picked up where she left off when also scoring over C&D on return but stopped in alarming fashion at Fontwell 17 days ago.

Fairly useful winner at 20f over hurdles and ran to similar level when third at Hexham on chase debut/return. Failed to complete next 2 starts but was in the process of running creditably when departing through no fault of his own at Doncaster 19 days ago. Up in trip starting out for this yard.

Made a successful debut over hurdles at Bangor in 2021 and best effort since when fourth in a 10-runner Hereford handicap (21.7f, heavy). Badly let down by jumping at Carlisle on chase bow 9 days ago, however, and headgear quickly applied.

Forecasts

East Street (15/8), Juniper (3/1), Cash To Ash (9/2), Feivel (11/2), The Mighty Arc (8/1), Hold The Note (10/1), Chris Cool (12/1)

Verdict

EAST STREET showed improved form in first-time headgear when just edged out over C&D last month, doing little wrong despite failing to get the job done having traded as low as 1.04 in-running, and remains of strong interest after only 3 starts over fences. Cash To Ash finished 10 lengths behind the selection that day but is 7 lb better off here, so is entitled to make more of a race of it. The Mighty Arc is becoming well handicapped so is another to consider.
