Won 20.5f Ayr handicap hurdle last winter. Pulled up on Cheltenham reappearance in October and not seen again until a never-dangerous sixth at Doncaster 16 days ago. One of 2 runners for his trainer.
C&D maiden winner last February and added to his tally in handicap company at Kempton (2m) in April. Performed only respectably in 2 outings before Christmas but feasibly handicapped if a return to this venue sees him bounce back to his best.
Landed 21f Kelso handicap in September. Operating a little below his best since but he's dropped back to 1 lb below that Kelso mark. No surprise were he to stage a revival.
Lightly raced in recent times and doesn't appear to retain much ability, pulling up over C&D on latest start just after Christmas. Could only consider if the betting suggests that a revival is anticipated.
Bumper/maiden hurdle winner for this yard last summer. Also runner-up in 2 novice hurdles since but has suffered heavy defeats in his 2 handicaps, pulling up at Wetherby when last seen on Boxing Day. Subsequently had wind surgery and now also sports a tongue tie.
Lost his way in Ireland and hard to derive any encouragement from his recent stable debut run here (25f).
Sedgefield maiden hurdle winner last winter. Failed to make an impact on his Market Rasen handicap debut/reappearance but he may strip fitter now and remains relatively unexposed.
Successful twice for James Ewart in summer of 2021. Ended his time with that yard with a lesser effort in May and beaten a long way both outings for new yard (26 lengths fourth over C&D latterly).
Won over hurdles for Iain Jardine last season. Hasn't shown much in 2 outings since returning from a break (fences latterly) but starting to look dangerously well handicapped and the booking of Brian Hughes takes the eye.

Forecasts
American Gerry (5/2), Fenna's Loss (3/1), Omega (4/1), The Navigator (5/1), Glentruan (15/2), Royle Steel (17/2), Kavanaghs Cross (9/1), For Three (11/1), Roxboro Road (33/1), The White Volcano (100/1)
In a contest where compelling candidates are thin on the ground the vote goes to THE NAVIGATOR who has dropped to 1 lb below the mark he defied at Kelso in the autumn. Hughie Morrison has been among the winners this month so American Gerry, who landed a C&D maiden at a similar time last year, is feared most ahead of Kavanaghs Cross, for whom the booking of Brian Hughes is potentially significant.
