His only defeat under Rules came when bumping into stablemate Constitution Hill in last season's Supreme at Cheltenham. Beat Monmiral on his C&D chase debut/return and followed up in impressive style in Grade 1 Henry VIII at Sandown. Should take all the beating again.

Won a pair of novice hurdles in early-2021 and came good over fences in 2m Southwell handicap 13 days ago. Did that easily but he'll still need to advance his form considerably to give Jonbon something to think about.

Forecasts

Jonbon (1/16), Haddex Des Obeaux (9/2), Calico (9/1), Bass Rock (16/1)

Verdict

JONBON simply looks a chaser of the highest class and should be able to give the weight away. Haddex des Obeaux has taken really well to fences and can follow him home.
