Didn't really kick on over fences but clearly primed after 6 months off to score back over hurdles at Cheltenham (3m) in November. Good third back at that venue a month later but he needs to shrug off a lesser effort at Wincanton on Boxing Day.

Very lightly raced in recent years and he went backwards from his reappearance effort at Cheltenham when fourth of 7 at Ludlow (23.8f) 5 weeks ago. All victories gained at up to 21f but the assessor has eased his grip a little more and Tom O'Brien takes over from his usual owner/rider. Interesting.

Endured a disappointing 2021/22 season but got back on track following a wind op/9 months off when third over C&D in November. Filled same spot at Wincanton (24.7f) on Boxing Day and he's one to consider in an open-looking handicap.
Dual hurdle winner who made the frame in trio of handicaps last spring but operating below his best in 2 starts so far this campaign, fading from 2 out when ninth of 15 in handicap at Kempton (21f) in December. Cheekpieces fitted ahead of step back up in trip.
Built up a good record away from the mud, adding a fourth hurdles victory to her tally at Market Rasen (23f) in May 2021. Off the track subsequently but she has twice tasted success on back of an absence previously. One to monitor in the betting.
Maiden/novice hurdle winner last season and creditable fifth in 3m Aintree Grade 1 on final start. Shaped quite well in 2½m handicap on return at that venue in October but not scaled same heights either start since.
Bumper winner who made a successful hurdles debut in a Ascot novice (21.5f) in November 2021. Runner-up next 2 starts and whilst he ran poorly on return/handicap debut in December it's too soon to be writing him off.
Fairly useful for David Bridgwater and returned to form for new yard when runner-up at Ludlow (23.8f) early last month. However, not in same form when pulled up at Plumpton (25f) 12 days ago.

Barbados Buck's (7/2), Regarding Ruth (5/1), Jatiluwih (11/2), Annual Invictus (6/1), Jay Bee Why (6/1), Bridge North (6/1), West To The Bridge (8/1), Sirobbie (17/2), Flemenstide (9/1)
Having endured a disappointing 2021/22 campaign, BARBADOS BUCK'S has encouragingly strung 2 solid efforts together this term, latterly when third at Wincanton on Boxing Day and, in an open-looking handicap he could be the way to go. Veteran West To The Bridge has served notice he's coming to the boil of late and he's feared, with Jatiluwih also worth a look under a new rider and having slipped in the weights.
