In good form over fences here last season, winning twice at around 2m and also runner-up twice over C&D. Below-par both starts this season (over hurdles at this course last time), but he can bounce back down in grade now only 1 lb above last winning mark.

Maiden hurdle winner in Ireland and, on his first outing for Ewan Whillans, stepped up on chase debut effort when fourth of 9 in handicap at Ayr (20.5f) in October. Ran to just a similar level at the same course (24.1f) next time. Makes yard debut.
Winner of two of his first three starts over fences last season. After 6 months off, not discredited when third in handicap at Leicester (22.7f) in December. Could go well now 2 lb below his last winning mark and fitted with headgear.
Has taken well to chasing this season, getting off the mark at the second attempt in handicap at Hexham (20.1f) in June. After 5 months off, ran well when runner-up at the same course (15.6f) in November. Could still have more to offer.
Shaped as if retaining ability returning from over 2 years off at Musselburgh in November, going well in share of third when falling 4 out. However, went backwards from that effort when well held last time. Back up in trip with cheekpieces reapplied.
Modest hurdler who returned with another laboured display in handicap hurdle at Uttoxeter (15.8f) in December. Back up in trip as he tries chasing again.
Left his reappearance effort well behind when scoring at Wetherby (19.4f) in December and backed up that effort when runner-up at this C&D later in the month. Can make his presence felt in current form.
Poor handicap chaser nowadays who fared little better than on his reappearance when fifth of 14 back over hurdles at Kelso (16.2f) in January. Has enough to prove returned to chasing. 4 lb out of the weights.
Had some fairly useful form over hurdles/fences in France at the beginning of his career. Yet to offer much in Britain though, pulled up in handicap here (25.2f) last month. Down in trip with blinkers on first time. 10 lb out of the handicap.
