Bumper winner who was much improved when outpointing dual subsequent winner Unit Sixtyfour on second run over fences here (2½m, good) in November. Brought down before the race began in earnest at Ludlow since and bold show likely, provided he copes with this step back up in trip.

Failed to complete both starts between the flags and hasn't shown much in half-a-dozen appearances under Rules so far. Big step forward needed now switched to fences.

Promising hurdles debut when a staying-on third at Uttoxeter in May 2021. However, restricted to just 3 runs since, showing little on each occasion, and looks set for another struggle now tried over the larger obstacles.

Showed ability as a novice hurdler a couple of seasons back but he hasn't shown a great deal since, beaten a long way on each of his 2 starts at Lingfield this time round. Chase debut.

Showed ability in sole bumper outing and again on hurdles debut here last season. No show in 3 subsequent starts, though, including on return/chase debut at Uttoxeter in December.

Ran one of his better races when second in a 4-runner C&D handicap chase last time, albeit he again failed to impress with his application. Still, he's a solid each-way contender off the same mark in a race of this nature.

Showed ability when midfield in a Warwick bumper on debut in November 2020 but beaten a long way all 4 starts over hurdles since. Hopes very much pinned on this change of vocation sparking significant improvement.

Stepped up on low-key hurdles efforts when runner-up in a 2m handicap back in this sphere in December. Subsequent efforts have not been so good, though, and she has essentially looked a non-stayer on previous attempts beyond 2m.

Winner of sole start between the flags and shaped better than the distance beaten suggests at Wincanton (25f, soft) on just his second go over fences last month. Down another 4 lb and place possibilities back down in trip with better ground forecast here.

Poor maiden hurdler and didn't leave the impression that he'll be faring any better in this sphere when well held on recent chase debut at Catterick. 5 lb 'wrong' at the weights.

The one with the most compelling credentials is FLANN, who appears to be on a good mark having been raised just 5 lb for this clear-cut success here in November. While that was just a 4-runner affair, the second has won both starts since and the third also scored next time out, so the form is solid and his subsequent departure at Ludlow was no fault of his own. El Diablo is a tentative selection for forecast purposes ahead of On The Bandwagon.
