7/5

Showed fair form in a brace of bumpers last season, caught near finish having quickened clear briefly 2f out at Sedgefield in May. Failed to justify favouritism on hurdles debut in November but he's expected to build on that.

8/1

Showed fair form over hurdles in France but has yet to reach that level on these shores and jumped none too fluently when well held in first-time cheekpieces at Southwell last time. Switches back to maiden company.

2/1

Form: 32

Non-Runners

Hot As Pepper⁹⁸

Weight: 11-3| Age: 7

T: J C McConnell J: James Bowen

Forecasts

Hidalgo De L'isle (7/5), Cianciana (2/1), Hot As Pepper (4/1), Fearless Action (5/1), These Happy Daze (8/1), Big Gangsta (14/1), Boomslang (33/1), Charlie's Rockstar (50/1), Calevade (50/1), Court Justice (150/1)

This looks a good piece of placing by connections of CIANCIANA given she receives an age and sex allowance and with a 7 lb conditional booked, she has a lot in her favour. Hidalgo de L'isle and Hot As Pepper look the chief threats.
