Acclamation colt who confirmed promise of his debut effort on turf at Salisbury when running out a good winner of a Wolverhampton novice (7f) in September. Player under a penalty with prospect of more to come.
Twice-raced maiden. Seventh of 14 in novice event (50/1) at Kempton (1m) 6 weeks ago, ridden 2f out and making little impression. Rates a likely longer-term project.
Promising type. 16/1, showed plenty to work on when third of 7 in minor event at Wolverhampton (8.6f) on debut 30 days ago, green but running on. Looks sure to come on plenty for that initial experience. Player.
Kingman colt. 15/2, sixth of 13 in novice event at Kempton (1m) on debut 57 days ago, no extra final 1f and not knocked about. In good hands and highly likely he will have more to offer going forward.
$65,000 yearling, €100,000 2-y-o, Classic Empire colt. Half-brother to 1m winner Melendez. Dam US 1m winner. Market should prove a useful guide on debut.
Twice-raced maiden. Ninth of 11 in maiden (12/1) at Wolverhampton (7.2f) 44 days ago, off the bridle long way out and always behind. Rates a likely type for handicaps in due course.
Twilight Son gelding. 2/1, improved on debut effort despite proving too keen early when third of 9 in maiden at this course (7.1f) 10 days ago. Remains with potential but he will need to settle better now upped to 1m.
Zoffany filly who was sent off at huge odds but displayed plenty of promise when running on late for fourth in an 11-runner novice here (7f) in November. Entitled to have derived plenty from that and no surprise to see her thereabouts.

Forecasts
Laser Guided (9/4), Imperial Ace (5/2), Golden Passport (4/1), Open Choice (7/1), Sunfyre (10/1), Zapphire (14/1), Book Of Tales (18/1), Ski Jump (40/1)
An interesting novice event with the vote in favour of IMPERIAL ACE. He offered plenty to work on when third in a Wolverhampton novice on debut 4 weeks ago, green and wide entering straight but running on to good effect. This stiffer track should play to his strengths on that evidence and he can go well with progress anticipated. Golden Passport, a good winner on AW during the summer, and likely improver Zapphire can also play lead roles.
